WHAT THE

HORSE?

CUP OF COFFEE:

2001-2002

Musician/painting artist Fredrik Lindberg and musician/actor Andreas Rothlin Svensson

formed Alcohorses in Stockholm, Sweden 2001.

A drawing of two drunken horses gave the band it´s name and a reason to make music.

A Demo EP: Flowers In The Park and more was recorded at Andreas home studio Flat303, 2001-2002.

Some of the songs were

Flowers In The Park,  Gold Medal, Intelligent Primates and Coffee Cup.

Then the band went for a coffee break that would last for almost a decade.

2010

Late night session in southern Stockholm.

Alcohorses teamed up again as if the most natural thing.

Guitars and some vocals for new tracks

Lay Your Head and This New Thing were recorded at Fredriks place.

Yet another coffee break.

2015 and moving

During a sudden burst of inspiration, five years after initial recording,

Lay Your Head and This New Thing were finally completed and released.

During springtime 2015, the 2 track single rolled out to all major streaming services via AlpRockIndependent.

At last, the horse had sung.

The band gained new momentum and in july 2015 the first new recordings were completed at Andreas's now relocated studio. Among them Backyard Colors,

These Wasted Years and The Liar.

2016 / 2017

Crazy Moon, Let´s Pretend, At The Nighttime, Time Machine and Shitstorm have all been added to the list.
